Our Story

In 2021, I began making hair accessories out of scraps as a creative outlet during my retail days working at my family’s military surplus store during the pandemic. It didn’t take long to realize I wanted to do something more creatively on a business level while also being home more with my mom due to her health conditions. That's when Woodland Daisy Co (formerly Wanderer Scrunchie Co) was born in 2022. After one year of juggling my retail job, teaching photography at a home school co-op and markets on weekends, I decided to take the leap and go completely full time in Spring 2023.

Spring of 2024, I wanted to expand my products but stick within the fiber realm. That led me to a spur of the moment purchase of a single needle embroidery machine. However, the sudden passing of my mom 2 weeks later led to me keeping it in a box for 4 months. I hesitantly started experimenting with embroidery and introduced embroidered sweaters to christmas markets. Now, I'm addicted to embroidery and it's changed my business so much the last few months.

There are many exciting things brewing in the background for 2026. Stay tuned!

In Loving Memory of Christie Lynn

My mom was an integral part of the creation of Woodland Daisy Co (formerly Wanderer Scrunchie Co). She helped with choosing fabrics, setting up at markets, modeling products (as well as testing them), being my co-pilot/navigator and elasticing scrunchies. If you purchased a mini or classic size scrunchie from April 2022-July 2024, they were elasticized by her.
She encouraged me from the beginning and I wouldn't have gotten this far in my business without her.
